If there’s one song everyone’s heard at least once, it’s Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway To Heaven.” For many of you reading this, you’ve probably heard the song over 1,000 times. Earlier this month, Led Zeppelin was honored by the Kennedy Center, along with other legendary artists, and with POTUS and his wife in attendance. During the portion where Led Zeppelin was honored, both Kid Rock and Lenny Kravitz put a twist on their favorite Zeppelin songs — curious choices, in my opinion. But this video of Heart’s Wilson sisters singing the epic ballad “Stairway” just blew me away. If you like this song, watch this closely. As context, the band members who are seated up in the audience didn’t know what to expect, so as the song unfolds to its dramatic crescendo, you can see Robert Plant start to cry, you can see Jimmy Page saying “Wow!” as if he’s truly shocked and moved, and when the finale appears, it puts a spin on this song that I could never have imagined.
